IRAD at Southern Illinois University

The IRAD facility at
Southern Illinois
University is located in the Morris Library Storage Facility on the
western edge of the campus. The Library Storage building is located on
McLafferty Road near the University Press and University Museum Lab.
Parking is available just to the south of the
Library Storage facility. The
IRAD staff may issue a temporary parking permit for this parking lot.

Carbondale is divided by U.S. Route 51, which dissects the
city into an east and west side. Route 13 divides the city north and south.
Southern Illinois University is located in the southwest portion of the City
of Carbondale.
From I-57
Take IL Route 13 west into Carbondale. Turn left on
Oakland Avenue and go south to Chautaugua Street. Turn right on Chautaugua
Street and go west to McLafferty Road. Turn left on McLafferty Road. The
IRAD depository is located on McLafferty Road one-third mile
south of its intersection with Chautauqua Street
From the West
Take IL Route 13 east into Carbondale. Turn right on
Oakland Avenue and go south to Chautaugua Street. Turn right on Chautaugua
Street and go west to McLafferty Road. Turn left on McLafferty Road. The
IRAD depository is located on McLafferty Road one-third mile
south of its intersection with Chautauqua Street
From US Route 51 North
Take US Route 51 south into Carbondale. Turn right on IL
Route 13 (Main Street) and go west to Oakland Avenue. Turn left on Oakland
Avenue and go south to Chautaugua Street. Turn right on Chautaugua Street
and go west to McLafferty Road. Turn left on McLafferty Road. The IRAD depository is located on McLafferty Road one-third mile
south of its intersection with Chautauqua Street.
From US Route 51 South
Take US Route 51 north into Carbondale. Turn left on
Reservoir Road and go west to McLafferty Road. Turn right on McLafferty
Road. The IRAD depository is located on McLafferty Road one-half mile north
of its intersection with Reservoir Road.
